The Pink Princess
Once upon a time, in a
kingdom far, far away there lived a beautiful princess. She was destined for
great things and loved by all who knew her. All that is except for one. In a
neighboring kingdom there was a wicked queen who ruled her kingdom through fear
and hate. Her subjects were sad and dying as was the land. She hated the
beautiful princess because she was so full of life.
One day as the princess
walked through the garden near the border of her kingdom, she was struck by an
arrow shot by the evil queen. The princess sank to the ground with a mortal
wound to her breast. All in her kingdom went into mourning and dressed in
black.
The physicians of the
land could not understand how, but the princess fought to survive. She called her
advisors to her quarters and made an announcement.
“Let it be known
throughout the land that no one shall dress in dark colors. Everyone shall now
wear pink, a color of life and new beginnings.”
